KatorseTogether with “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus” Grand Champ Ejay Falcon, 20, and model-athlete Xian Lim, 19, 18-year-old Erich plays the role of Nene, the 14-year-old carefree teen who has to face life’s difficulty at an early age in the TV remake of “Katorse.” Erich was 14 years old when she won the “Star Circle” nationwide talent search. Although she’s already an adult, she still looks 14. Erich, Ejay and Xian are doing the television remake of Joey Gosiengfiao’s coming-of-age classic Katorse. This is the full-length feature that launched newbie Dina Bonnevie’s movie career. Directed by Malu Sevilla, Ejay will do the Gabby Concepcion role while Xian as Erich’s big brother. Since they are doing innocent roles in “Katorse,” STIR finds out how fit they are for their roles.

Do you still consider yourself as innocent?

Erich: Yes I consider myself as still innocent.

Ejay: Yes.

Xian: Yes.
In what ways?

At your ages, do you still consider yourself innocent about sex?

Erich: Yes, I’m still innocent about it.

Ejay: Wala pa akong alam pagdating dyan

Xian: Absolutely yes. I am a conservative person although I was raised in US. I still believe na dapat kong i-preserve yung virginity ko para sa mapapangasawa ko.
Have you ever had any serious relationship?

Erich: I’ve never had any boyfriend since birth.

Ejay:
Wala din akong seryosong naging relasyon dati.

Xian: Meron when I was in the States pero I don’t consider it as a relationship. Parang fling lang yun.
Have you experienced being kissed on the lips?

Erich: First time ko po nakaranas ng halik sa labi in “Katorse” kay Ejay.

Ejay: First time ko rin kay Erich.

Xian: Hindi pa.
What can you say about the experience?

Ejay: Masarap, matamis at lasang buko. Hahana.

Hahaha.
  Who is your showbiz crush?

Erich: Piolo Pascual.

Ejay: KC Concepcion and Kristine Hermosa.

Xian: Si Erich.

UnPlug: Big Sister Maja

maja salvadorStill fresh in Maja Salvador’s memory was her meeting with ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio. Maja’s ultimate dream was to enter showbiz which would take her marginalized family into a better life. Charo told her, “I will make you a star.” As a member of the Salvador clan and the good genes that go with it, her career soared, realizing Charo’s vision and her own dream. Sisters sanitary napkin which Maja endorses gave STIR the chance to be with her for a whole day during a personal appearance in Citimart, Calapan, Oriental Mindoro and I learned she’s a Big Sister in many ways.

You’ve grown up into a beautiful woman? Who’s courting you?

May textmates!

Ano usual message?

Kagaya ng “Maja, kumain ka na ba?” “Wag kang masyadong magpapagod”… mga ganun lang. Hahaha

What do you look for in a guy?

Piolo Pascual at Dennis Trillo.

Your showbiz idol?

Sarah Geronimo.

What else do you want to do to in your career?

Kristine Hermosa said in an interview that you’re her bet to follow her footsteps. What can you say?

How do you spend your free time?

Sa mall, with my family. We have simpleng kainan doon. Pag wala akong work, bumabawi talaga ako.

If you are loaded with work, how does it affect you?

Mas maraming work mas energetic ako!

Sino-sinu ang “BFF” (Best Friend Forever) mo in showbiz?

Denise Laurel, she is my coach and my stylist, and Sarah Geronimo.

Sino si Maja as a girlfriend?

After the US, what’s the next country you’d like to visit?

Indonesia, Bali in particular.

Ideal age to get married?

Mossimo Bikini Summit 2009

Okay, so it may have lost some air of exclusivity by holding the event in a mall and for free — after heavy rains in Boracay forced its cancellation last Saturday — but who cares. It’s the men in it that count. This is still the best grouping of men in a bikini competition so far this summer, or what remains of it. So go — Saturday, May 23, 8:00 p.m. at the Skydome, SM North EDSA.

“TUTOK” New Indie film tackles on Media Exploitation and Sensationalism

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by Kakulay Entertainment Center on 12-05-2009

There is a new indie film which dwells on media exploitation and sensationalism and this film is entitled “TUTOK”.

“TUTOK”is a dramatic thriller that revolves around the lives of two newsmen, one is an ambitious reporter (portrayed by award winnning actor Emilio Garcia) while the other is a cameraman (played by actor turned producer Allen Dizon). Together, the two men seek instant fame by attempting to cover a story involving rebel leaders. What follows next is a series of events that makes the lives of the two men turn into a nightmare. The two men are forced to participate in homosexual acts and sexual orgies while being filmed by a camera. “Tutok” comprises a good cast which includes Boots Anson-Roa as the concerned mother, Andrea Del Rosario as the reporter’s understanding wife, Lloyd Samartino as the feisty television head news executive, Victor Aliwalas as a news correspondent and Ian De Leon as the rebel leader. The film also features newcomer Raymond Cabralas one of the rebels who engage in homosexual activities.

“Tutok” is indeed a worthy follow up to award-wining actors Emilio Garcia who recently triumphed with acting awards through his engaging performances in “Selda” and “Walang Kawala” and Allen Dizon, after his acclaimed performances in “Twilight Dancer” and “Paupahan”. The film is about what men are willing to do for fame and the price one has to pay for it. “Tutok” opens in selected Metro Manila theaters on May 27. Watch out for it as it promises to be very controversial. Photo’s and Article Contributed by: Leo Dominguez
